WE ARE HALF THE WORLD

Life is like a garden. A garden has many different flowers. A rose is different from lily, yet each has its own beauty. Can we have all same kind of flowers in a garden? No, right? When we look around us, we can see that nature loves variety. Similarly in life, we cannot have only men we need women too, to carry on the life cycle of our nature. I wish people should understand the balance of nature and treat their sons and daughters equally. It's unfair to kill the girl child, right after the gender is examined. Although traditional roles are changing but still the facts and figures representing the same cannot be denied and ignored.

As a human being, you should expand your circle of sharing and caring. Act of kindness has a ripple effect of spreading peace like ripples on a lake. When the stone is thrown in a lake, it sinks and the splash is dead but the ripples live on. I will make this idea clear by a story.

"BETI BACHAO"

Arun was returning from his office. He heard the faint wailing of a child. At the edge of the pavement was a tiny baby lying on a ragged sheet, crying. Arun's tender heart made him pick up the baby. It was a baby girl, hardly a few days old. Arun looked around but no one was found.

He thought not to leave the baby alone so he took her home with him. By seeing baby in Arun's hand Gauri was surprised. At first instance, she was alarmed and shocked- so many thoughts crossed her mind as she was facing primary infertility. Every waking moment was filled with despair. Suddenly she felt disconnected from her husband, as if he doesn't require her anymore. Her heart and mind were not in perfect sync. Her mind was constantly pushing the boundaries that her marriage is over. Arun is having his own child may be from his second wife as I was not able to make his wish come true. He asked me several times to adopt a baby but I never listened. I am the one responsible to ruin my life. While preoccupied in her thoughts about her married life, uaahhhhhhh....uahhhhhh... she heard baby's cry sensing some sort of hunger needs.

She came out of her thoughts and her tears burst out. She started screaming--- Why did you do this Arun? You can't do this to me I am your wife you should have told me before. Where is her mother?

Arun was not having any idea, what's going in Gauri's mind? But, when she asked --Where is your second wife? Then he realized what anxiety Gauri was trapped with?

Arun asked Gauri to calm down and take a seat. He narrated the whole incidence. Gauri was on cloud nine when she got to know about Arun's kind heart. She was proud as well as speechless. Deep within she always craved for a baby girl. After all, girls are an epitome of love and affection. The moment when Arun said 'If you are uncomfortable Gauri we will take this baby to an orphanage'. Gauri was breathless ----She said No......This baby is the one who can put all our broken pieces together. She is in our life for a reason. It's God's wish to have the baby in our hands. We were desiring a baby but unfortunately cannot have that bliss. Many children like her are there, who do not have parents to give them love and care just because of their gender difference. As if having a girl child is a sin.

Arun --"Are you thinking for adoption of this baby"? I know I have told you thousands of times regarding adoption but there is no force on you. Please give a second thought, as you always said people are judgemental about adopted kids but not biological kids.

Gauri--" No Arun, I was so wrong. Every kid deserves a family". Parenting is tough I agree. We may have to face many challenges but why not deal with something as life-challenging as adoption. Let's go to an orphanage and register our child legally. Arun I am thinking if God's grace let us set up a small orphanage. Our orphanage will provide shelter for such children. The happiness and joy from this kind act will never make us feel incomplete in our parenthood journey.

This story tells us how a kind deed touches many lives. We can always help people who are less fortunate than us and can be a useful part of society.

The world needs to understand that even a girl can fly high and be independent. Why she always falls prey to such heinous acts? Why the brutal living creatures just cut off her wings? Why mothers are always in dilemma before giving birth to a girl child? Why she always doubts about giving her a fruitful life? Gender discrimination should be removed. Both boys and girls should be given an equal chance to grow into a good human being. An obsessive preference for boys and discrimination against girls is the root of this problem. The majority of girls are aborted, others are killed, abandoned, or neglected to death just because they are girls. BEYOND THE POINT, This ongoing war against daughters is unwanted and should be curbed.

I  hope my idea behind this story is clear to all my readers. Act of kindness, Beti Bachao, Adoption of less fortunate kids, as well as Gender differences should be removed.
Many women are incomplete as they can't be mothers due to some or other reason. They have the right to adopt a baby, why society is so judgemental. THE PLACE WHERE MY HEART IS

If home is where the heart spake,
Then my heart belongs to the city of lakes.

Bhopal an illuminated city of art,
Holding each other's heart.

Hot summers, dazing days, the heavy heat,
Cold winters, early darkness, the silent street.

Lake is the place where my heart lies,
Under the blue cloudy-drifting skies.

Wet sand between the toes,
And the mystic wind blows.

White ducks, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Duets are sung by frogs and birds, in aim to please,
Twined together in great weather, around the shaded trees.

Crystal clear water so deep,
Secrets of mine the fishes would surely keep.

Whispering waves, calling my name,
Big plans and dreams would never be the same.

Morning meditation amidst unknown faces,
Use to breathe in the dust of places.

Changing tides with low sounds by shore,
Feel the solace, in the deep heart's core.

A corner of heaven tucked away from the humdrum,
The mountains guarding it up from.

Such an indeed vision eyes could see,
The wonder, the joy, and the glee.

A symbol of elegance in the bustling city,
Done to deaths coffee shops, restaurants, and overcrowded malls none of the hangout spots have such beauty.

Feel the peace, in the silence of the night,
By sitting near a spotlight, as bright as sunlight.

This is the place which I would never love less,
So lovely is the loneliness.

Searching for old memories and dreams of long ago,
Now hidden by the darkness, where light once used to glow.

Whenever I am in pensive mood,
Memories flashback, which is the bliss of solitude.

Heart and soul realize all the chimes,
Whenever I pay a visit to all my golden times.

BEYOND THE POINT, Like me, many enjoy its beauty, 
It's majesty and charm,
But we also should protect it,
And keep it safe from harm.

SHE IS NOT PERFECT, BUT GOOD ENOUGH

She doesn't need anyone's affection or approval to be good enough. Her worth is not contingent upon other people's acceptance ---it's something inherent. She exists and therefore She matters. She is allowed to voice her thoughts and feelings. She is allowed to assert her needs and take up space. If someone judges her, it's not actually about her, it's about them and their own insecurities, limitations, and needs. She is allowed to remove anyone from her life who makes her feel otherwise.

She is no one else, but one among us. Have you ever felt that, you've lost yourself or your identity? Have you ever felt that, will I be more than a mom ever again? It happens with me most of the time.
Sometimes I feel sorry for myself that I doubted my worth. I didn't realize how strong and how resilient I could be. Whenever I am alone I converse with my loneliness that I don't need any sort of motivation or inspiration to start wheeling my journey again. I have to believe that I am a beautiful soul I may not be perfect, but I am good enough. I am like sunshine which appears with a streak. I am like the birds in the sky who fly far with their wings. I am like the moonlight on a dark night which does not want to fade. I am like a beautiful flower that blooms up in the spring.

The upbringing of normal Indian society is that men do not proactively do the household chores as instinctively as the lady of the house does. Our mind is set since the beginning and this thought is imbibed within us. But I really wonder why a lady is always supposed to ask for help, both men and women are equally responsible for all the family chores.

Why She only has to shatter her dreams to balance her life? Why She cannot follow her passion? Why She is always judged by society and everyone else around? Why She is supposed to be at home and look after kids and other members alone? Why She has to face a lot of hurdles every day? Why She feels hard on the grounds of reality? Why She is completely directionless and headless? Why She is the source of fun for others which in turn causes havoc in her life? Why She has to feel that deep sense of guilt if She prioritize something that interests her? Why She always has to make a choice? Why Her life is like peeling an onion, with every layer she opens, she shed her silent tears? Why with every sarcastic remark or injustice she has to move on?
There should always be a mutual understanding and equal distribution.

Rediscovering herself after motherhood and to mold herself at any point of time, it's like a battle which she has to conquer with. She has to learn to prioritize herself so that she can be enough for her family but mostly for herself. She has to take the risk even though she is petrified of failures because she has to believe that her faith is stronger than her fear. Whenever life knocks her down, her only option is to stand back up and just wish that things would get better.

BEYOND THE POINT, She has to believe that real happiness comes from within and to become complete, She has to feel enough with all her flaws and failures, with all her mistakes and imperfections. She is a life-giver. She is a creator. She is the one who can make four walls into a home. She has to believe that like her there can be no other. She is the one who can perfectly play any role. She needs no validation to feel valued and is the real form of contentment that She is good enough.

SILENCE

Silence is the best award to afford,
One who probably not value your word.

Silence helps you to keep strong,
But it doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong.

Sometimes silence convey emotions so intense,
No words could probably describe your suspense.

It seems silence is for old, but still they feel content,
And young by using words also, are brash and impatient.

Silence should only end conversations,
But should not implant towards the end of relations.

So silent is the world tonight,
Plants are pushing towards the light.

Moments are passing, but not a sound,
Like in a wide desert, no life is found.

The echoes of children's laughter,
That surrounded us everywhere,
Now only silence fills the air.

Silence may  be because of a reason,
Like every season. (birth, death, life and age)

Amidst the noise, quiet corners were the need for which we fought,

But today we are alone and listening to our thoughts.

The world is suffering, and it's affecting our health,

It's time for moving with silence and stealth.

We all are so different,

And yet so much same,

Nature has its own grace,

We all are losing something in the race.

Everyone around is in so much pain,

That runs in our vein.

And still the vision for tomorrow that is planted in our brain,

Will still remain.

We all are broken like broken rays,

But sometimes the broken pieces arrange themselves in beautiful ways.

Being at the edge let's hope that it all should end,

Our broken heart is what, God would start to mend.

Limit your fears and doubts that act as a wall,

Learn, grow, prosper and rise from your falls. 

BEYOND THE POINT, Silence is like a rainbow which holds all colors,

Let's don't plant the seeds of assumption in our minds like a duller.

REAL LIFE, REAL DAY

A day is always the beginning of a freeway. 
We can waste it or could really taste it.

When today is gone,
We again wait for tomorrow, and another one.
Every time we want to begin our real-life with a real-day,
But we often forget all obstacles in our way.

There are plenty of things to be finished first,
And, we are dawned with a thought these obstacles are our real-life to quench our thirst.

BEYOND THE POINT, The secret of happiness is accepting and making most out of every day,
Instead of complaining and waiting for the real- day.

THE ETERNAL BONDS......

Mother's day is celebrated just for a day,
But they shower their love on us every day, in every way.
I want to honor all my mothers,
With words of love and praise.
I want to tell about their goodness,
And their kind and loving ways.

The support that stood by me at any cost,
But, how long mom you would take care that I am not lost.

The real hero of my childhood.

By seeing you I can truly say that relations are not only by birth,
But are always made on Earth,
And being with you is always worth it.

TIME FADES AWAY, MEMORIES REMAIN FOREVER .........BEING A MOTHER

It's a blessing to be a mother,
Because it's being a person like no other.

I gave you birth, but you came with no instructions,
All I knew is that I loved you long before I saw your foot impressions.

My child, you need a gentle hand,
To guide you as you grow,
And teach you what you should know,
As you have a long way to go.

I love to walk alongside you,
And hold your little hand.
As you have so many things to learn,
And yet you don't understand.

I know I will miss your cryings for the moon,
As you will grow, your supermarket tantrums will end too soon.

I will always miss your excuses to never sleep until noon,
As you never wanted to, until you watch all your favorite cartoons.

You won't always wake me for cuddles through the night,
And one day I will miss your chocolate face to wipe.

I know I will miss your kicks on bed,
Or find you sideways on my pillow, where I want to lay my head.

I know I won't always have to carry you asleep from the car,
Or put you down on the road, when your little legs can't walk so far.

I will often miss your little gestures,
Which always pestered me to buy you miniatures.

I will miss your tender smile, which makes my day,
As you are the sunshine to light my way.

I will miss your handprints on windows and walls,
Five fingers in all, but the middle is tall.

I want to cherish all moments and remember them all,
As one day you won't be this small.

So whenever I close my eyes and take a nap,
I think of yesterday, where you were always in my lap.

I will do everything to keep you safe and fight every day,
So that you can do your best all your way,
At home, at school, and at play.

From early morn to late at night.

No matter wherever we are, we are always one.

Family is our pleasure,
One of God's greatest treasures.
We all have the right to be proud,
Because the people with whom we are living is not an ordinary crowd.

Family is the one where many tasty homemade dishes are passed from hand to hand,
And conversations around the table never seems to an end.

Family is a great display of unity,
Allowing all others to see how a family should really ought to be.

Family reunion time is the greatest time of every year,
It is the time which we all hold so dear.

Every moment we urge for this special time,
When we will be reunited with this family, which is our prime.

We all should look forward and close our eyes,
And be with our family in life's lows and highs.

Let's pray, everyone around us remain healthy and safe,
With love for family in our heart, and thanks to his grace.

BEYOND THE POINT, Family is the only choice,
Amidst the noise.
So Stay at home and be the proudest boast,
And share with the whole family the time which we all love the most.

SEE YOUR WORTH

SELF - RESPECT means respect yourself. If you don't, others won't either. Having real self-respect means you're able to be kind to everyone. If people respect you respect them back, if they disrespect you still respect them back. They represent their ideology and you represent yours.

You have to learn that you won't always be a priority to others, and that's why you have to be a priority to yourself. Even if people insult you and are cruel, you can wish them well and disengage. If you react also it won't change anything, it won't magically change their minds. If you constantly have to tell someone the same exact thing about how you feel and still they don't change it, then give yourself enough respect to walk away from someone who doesn't see your worth.

The more chances you give someone the less respect they'll have for you. They're not afraid to lose you because they know no matter what, you won't walk away. A break from someone will either make you realize how much you truly need them or how much peace you have without them. You cannot change all the people around you, you can certainly change the people you choose to be around. Don't blame people for disappointing you, blame yourself for expecting too much from them.

Stop explaining to people, when you realize people only understand from their level of perception. Give them the gift of absence when they don't appreciate your presence. You have to leave not for ego, but for self-respect. You should have your own standards either step up or step out. 

Sometimes you have to forgive what you feel, and remember what you worth/deserve. When you're constantly thinking of others that what they must be thinking or feeling of you. You start seeing yourself through their eyes and you lose sight of who you are. You always try to please them to remain in their counts.

When someone treats you like you're just of many options, help them narrow their choices by removing yourself from the equation. Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do. Because sometimes you mean nothing to someone who means so much to you. Don't give part-time people a full-time position in your life. Maturity is learning to walk away from people and situations that threaten your mind. It does not mean that you want someone to miss you or realize your worth as they took you for granted. It's just because finally you started respecting yourself.

You cannot recover or recapture your past, it's over and gone. The things tomorrow is holding is uncertain; So seize the present moments and grab all we can obtain.

BEYOND THE POINT when you say 'YES' to others make sure you are not saying 'NO' to yourself. Don't lower your standards for anyone or anything. Self-respect is everything.

MY HUSBAND STOOD BY ME

A woman is a mother, daughter, wife, and sister. You have a lot of struggles in the world in which u wanted to dwell. It's not that you cannot lead your life alone or you cannot fight your battles own. You can and you certainly do!! But sometimes you come across so many situations where you are stuck and you need someone by your side and that someone is no one else other than your husband. You face so many problems while raising your kids, getting along with family members as well as other relatives or friends, trying to take care of everyone around you without hurting anyone's feelings at the cost of your own sacrifices which no one would ever see. You have to balance all the sentiments of yours and deal with all the emotional household battles.

This phase is very difficult and comes in each and every girl's life. It's a long run in which My Husband always stood by me.
The additional responsibilities of marriage, being a good wife, being a good daughter in law, and a  caring mother were never a burden on my shoulder because your strong shoulders were always there to support me.

The day I met you, my life changed....... the way you made me feel is hard to explain. You have always been there in my rough times as my greatest support, my deepest love, my truest smile, my biggest comfort, my strongest motivation. So be my PLUS ONE as you were always.

So make promises just once more that u will be there for me------

Whenever I am not well you will make me feel priceless with your extra care.

Whenever our kids argue or disrespect due to any reason you will make them understand that --" she is your mother, she gave you life, she believes in you, she will nurture you, fights for you, she loves you, she deserves respect and expects nothing else from you.

Whenever I will be exhausted and overloaded with work, please make everyone understand at home that I also need rest to put my best. Make everyone understand that you are ok with light meals for that evening just for me.

Whenever I am not on time due to some reason;
Don't make me feel guilty for the same.

Whenever I am conscious of my looks and attire, confused and puzzled;
Always inspire me to love myself and help me see the unique beauty in imperfection.

Whenever your family calls for fun;
Always make sure that I am also part of that run.

Whenever I need you as my friend you will be by my side;
So that I can share with you whatever is perplexing inside.

Although I don't want to act as romantic partners in front of anyone but I always wanted to set an example in front of our kids that how strongly and beautifully we can nurture any relation.

Today I want to express that I really love it when you cuddle with me on the couch during the movie night and hug me tight.
I love to walk with you by holding hands on the beachside.
I blush when you comment through your eyes when I am beautifully decked up.
I love it when you hold me tight while preparing the meals in the kitchen.
I love it when you miss me when I am apart from you and waiting for the moment when we would be close together.
I love it when you make me feel that I am the most wonderful person in your life.
My dear hubby I just want to say that " LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO"!!

I know you always keep saying that you don't have much to give me, but trust me I am very thankful for the way you are to me.
Life has given us a wonderful family, a happy home, and love for each other. Most importantly, it brought us together. I am so grateful to have u as my husband and the best father of our kids.

BEYOND THE POINT, I would just say that NEVER LET ME GO for my mistakes;
Just love me more so that I never put our relation on stake.
Last but not least I will do whatever....to keep us together.

Today I just want to say that in my case my husband is my supportive partner. I wish and hope that you all are able to filter out all imperfections of your life amidst the noise, when you feel alone. Always realize the importance of every relation and don't break the life balance. So dream of tomorrow that what all we can do; I know it's hard enough but some of them will surely come true.
