TIME FADES AWAY, MEMORIES REMAIN FOREVER .........BEING A MOTHER

It's a blessing to be a mother,
Because it's being a person like no other.

I gave you birth, but you came with no instructions,
All I knew is that I loved you long before I saw your foot impressions.

My child, you need a gentle hand,
To guide you as you grow,
And teach you what you should know,
As you have a long way to go.

I love to walk alongside you,
And hold your little hand.
As you have so many things to learn,
And yet you don't understand.

I know I will miss your cryings for the moon,
As you will grow, your supermarket tantrums will end too soon.

I will always miss your excuses to never sleep until noon,
As you never wanted to, until you watch all your favorite cartoons.

You won't always wake me for cuddles through the night,
And one day I will miss your chocolate face to wipe.

I know I will miss your kicks on bed,
Or find you sideways on my pillow, where I want to lay my head.

I know I won't always have to carry you asleep from the car,
Or put you down on the road, when your little legs can't walk so far.

I will often miss your little gestures,
Which always pestered me to buy you miniatures.

I will miss your tender smile, which makes my day,
As you are the sunshine to light my way.

I will miss your handprints on windows and walls,
Five fingers in all, but the middle is tall.

I want to cherish all moments and remember them all,
As one day you won't be this small.

So whenever I close my eyes and take a nap,
I think of yesterday, where you were always in my lap.

I will do everything to keep you safe and fight every day,
So that you can do your best all your way,
At home, at school, and at play.

You have always filled my days with pure delight,
From early morn to late at night.

I will never realize how this time will flow,
How you will quickly change and grow, 
As seasons come and go.

I always struggle with my selfish thoughts,
For I wanted you to stay(small),
So that we can always walk and talk,
Like we did .....just yesterday.

You may always have a thought that I didn't hear,
Or your ideas were not clear,
But trust me child I always wanted you  to stand and appear,
As I was always there.

I wonder if u know, how special you are to me,
And if the brightness of my heart you could ever see.

So tomorrow morning if you wake up,
And the future is unclear.
Hold my hand, and have no fear,
Because I will be always there.

Before you life was filled with less stress,
There were no toys on the floor and the house was not a mess.

Our lives have changed completely, but this much is true,
I never knew that pure joy is only with you.

So my child always remember...........
BEYOND THE POINT, A mother's love is precious,
A mother's love is unconditional,
A mother's love is true,
And I will always feel blessed to have a child-like you,
As my world is only you.
